Thermal Systems Icespy

SUPPORT

INFO

Icespy RL

PC Requirements

Any Windows PC, preferably running Windows 95/98/ME or NT4/2000.

The software does not make much demand on the PC so if the PC will happily run your chosen operating system it will also run the Icespy software.

As supplied, the software only occupies around 5Mb of your hard disc but remember you need to allow extra disc space for your data files.

What operating systems will the Icespy software work with?

QL, SL and RL will also run on Win 3.1/3.11 systems although not all functions are available.

CollectionUnit

RL-CU "Collection Unit"

The RL collection unit recieves radio data from the MRT sensors and displays the information on a LCD screen, the RL-CU also connects to a PC and the data can be viewed in tables and graphs.

Weight: 750g approx excluding cables and optional addins
Case: Polycarbonate
Dust / Waterproofing: IP54
Connectors: BNC antenna, 25pin, DSub, (printer), 9pin DSub (RS232), 2.5mm, power
Clock accuracy +/2 seconds per day
Display: 16 characters x 2 lines, LED backlighting when externally powered.
Keypad: 12 keys
Power requirements: 240V AC 50/60Hz, external unregulated 800mA plugtop supply provided with UK or EU fitting.
Antenna: builtin transmitter antenna; two external receiver antennae provided, one short and one on end of 1.5m extension cable

Medium Range Temperature Probe (MRT)

Temperature sensor which transmitts temperature data via radio to the collection unit where
it is displayed at the computer software

External Door Senser Attachment Option
 Accuracy 0.5°C
 Up to three channels available
One channel for internal thermistor sensor (40C to +60C)
One channel for optional external temperature sensors (–50C to +150C)
One channel for optional external door sensor (open / closed)
Recording interval 4 to 60 seconds or 1 to 240 minutes
Delayed recording start time: 1 minute to 1 month
Can be configured to record maximum temperature during each time period
Can be configured to record minimum temperature during each time period
Can be configured to record temperature at exact time of period (default)

External Temperature Probe:

The MRT unit is capable of having a external temperature sensor attached the record and trasmit data via radio from another location, the benefit of these external sensors are that they exceed the temperature perameter of the internal sensor in the MRT allowing it record much more extreme temperatures

low range temperature probe : -40°C/+60°C
Medium range temperature probe: -20°C/+130°C
High range temperature probe: +10°C/+150°C

RL-RU Unit

The RL-RU Unit also known as a RL Repeater is used to recieve radio signals from MRT units and relay the signals to the collection unit, these are used when the distance between the sensors and the collection unit is too great, they operate on 433 MHz and have an internal battery back-up in case of a power cut.

By using these RL-RU Units you can drematically increase the size and range of your Icespy RL system because the amount of these units that can be installed is limitless

Repeater unit

Stainless steel, heavy-duty transmitter with built-in 100mm penetration probe, at 90° to transmitter body, ideal for wet cookers, blast freezers and moving processes.

Operating Temperature 0°C to +85°C
Environmental protection IP68
Case Stainless Steel
Radio Frequency 433 MHz
Radio Range 100m in free air space, unless below -10°C/above +50°C
Transmission Rate Approximately every 50 seconds at 30m/sec radio packet
Weight 250g
Battery Life 10 years under normal conditions

thermal-systems T-Bar1

The S5-T-BLOCK is a core temperature simulant probe that meets BS4376 and is used to monitor the
storage conditions of blood plasma and fluid drug samples in hospital refrigerators.

Can be used with RL MRT probes (call for more info)
