Door sensors can be fitted across the openings in doorways to record how
often and also for how long doors are left open. The sensor consists of two parts; a magnetically-operated switch (having
a cable attached) which will usually be mounted on the door frame and an actuating magnet which should be fitted to the doors. Door
sensors are a fantastic way of saving energy; as with say a large walk in freezer you leave the door open for a total of say
15mins a day. That means your freezer is working on full power for nearly two hours a week and for a large frozen food
company who have many freezers this could add up to thousands of pounds a year in fuel bills. We don’t have to do the
maths for you. As with the diagram below, door sensors can be fitted on to all types of doors.

Sensors can be fitted to even up and over garage or large industrial bay doors, as well as small incubators
that has small access door. As door contacts come in various sizes to suit your application.
