Temperature monitoring is one of the most important issues for Zoos especially with temperature sensitive animals,
amphibians & insects.
The icespy system helps in sustaining the correct temperature as well as alarming us when the temperature is not at
the correct setting for one reason or another.
We found that over a period of a few days that we were able to lower the temperature by a degree or two, of quite a
few of our specimens.
The icespy system showed us using the graphs that we could lower the temperature of some areas of the Zoo this also
helped with our electrical consumption by a considerable amount as we were able to adjust our heating to more accurate settings,
thus allowing us to reduce our overall fuel bills.
We
are sure that the initial outlay for such a system dose out weigh the cost of installing one.
